Description

I created a night version of the original “Floating Garden” back in 2012 so I thought I would give it a shot with this updated scene. What do you think? Gallery or Pickle Jar? PS: Try not to judge it by the small preview version 🙂

Unfortunately I often have to adjust the “camera” in my 3D scenes to fit everything in the scene when I switch to the multiscreen view. Sometimes I even have to change the camera angle, as I did here. If I hadn’t you wouldn’t be able to see the palm fronds and the water in the frame at once. In the case, however, moving the camera mean’t forgoing the underwater turtle. Sorry!

Hi Ryan! I’m wondering why your multi-screen download for The Floating Garden goes at it from a different view point? I love the turtle in the single screen version, and it’s lost in the multi-screen versions because they’re head-on instead of from above. 🙁

    Wonderful !!! Truly magnificent!!!

And I wanted also to thank you for your efforts in catching up on the multi-screen renders.

By my list – only missing are Dapplewood (Winter), Stasis, Biome and Pali (the new render).

I really hope these will also be available soon.

Thank you so much for your wonderful art!

    Eyal.

Love this night version, great detail, and the luminescence is simply awesome touch, Great Render Ryan

I quite like the image, but MUCH prefer the far prettier and more realistic daytime version. My reaction overall is similar to that of exitstageleft. The image seems too strongly underlit, somehow. I’d say this version deserves to exist, but not to be in the Gallery. So, I vote Pickle Jar.

Gallery, certainly; I like this version. I do agree with ExitStageLeft that the pillars look like they are floating above the water, but perhaps you were going for that effect, Ryan. I’m glad you decided to update the 2012 original.

Yes- I like it-Gallery. The double take was that night version brought out points I missed in the day version. And yes the turtle doing a 180 was a cool touch.

I like this one even better than the original. I vote Gallery.

I really like this version even better than the day version, so I say it should be in the Gallery.

I’m thinking this one is better suited for the pickle jar.

Had a hard time with this one. Not sure if trees are floating in the air or on water. I found my eyes darting all over struggling desperately to try to find some point of reference. This was a challenging one for me.

A must for the Gallery. I now have a worthy day/night scene for my office. Yea!!

PS. Love that the turtle is returning home.
