I love the subtle colors in this one… it’s really quite amazing. It’s the kind of place that I enjoy imagining myself to be. I am really looking forward to a multi-screen version!

  2. youngrama

I really enjoy the depth of this piece as well as the figure in it. It adds perspective and I always enjoy looking for some type of figure representation. The coloring of the rocks is superb.

  3. Taint

I really like this piece; it’s abstract and reminds me of some of the geology samples we looked at in university. However I don’t think the figure is necessary. I didn’t even notice him initially, but he looks out of place.

  4. 0beron

I really like this one – very different. Really captures the look of a cave with glass thin walls being hit by the sun from outside. Any chance of a multiscreen?

    Doodle. Riiight.

If this is a doodle, I have a bridge to sell you…

  6. Ruth

I love all the hard edges on this one, and the way it makes me wonder what is over that top edge!

  7. Dave T

Very cool concept and feel. I really like the pseudo-abstracts you do like these.

  8. cmmnoble

Very nice. This has a lovely use of light and color. I interpreted this on a whole different scale (like the view from inside the facets of a quartz crystal) until I saw others talking about the little explorer in the comments!

  9. sundogvet

    Interesting technique. It needs development.

  10. John S

As compared to your other work, especially in the past few years, this picture is very weak. It’s boring. The addition of a shadowy figure strikes me as a poorly disguised attempt to create an air of mystery about the picture.

🙂 The more I look at this the more I <3 it. Could see this in a video game as the entrance to a mega boss ~ say with Bahmut about to raise over the peaks or a Shadow Lord ready to send down a shower of "Me-te-or".

Thank you Ryan ~ keep the fantasy coming.

Because I have never seen you do a zero yet. This piece looks synthetic. Looks like some half-assed Japanamation, yuck!

  13. Steven

Got it. Thank you! 10/10 🙂

  14. Ryan

It should show up now. Thanks!

  15. Steven

Just need the 1080 x 1920 (S4, HTC One) size for my Galaxy Note 3 to get 10/10. 😉

  16. Littlemom

    Very nice render love it

My first thought is that it looks like an underwater view of sea ice, but the angle/person are not quite right. One thing on my bucket list is to go ice diving under the ice cap in Antarctica.

Now that I’m looking at it some more, is the dude supposed to be looking up from the bottom of the glacier?

  18. Ockyin

Wow…Just wow. This is a stunning surprise. 🙂

  19. William

I frankly think this looks awesome, if on the darker side. I am not the one making these, though, so keep up the great work.

  20. Deanna

What! I didn’t notice the man either. Surprises = awesome. Two additional comments: 1) I love the frosty look on the ice, as well as the fractures and colors, and 2) I wish the timeline version didn’t have to cut off the top section where most of the beautiful light comes through the fractures.

  21. Drew

Love the concept(is this the first glacier theme in the gallery?) I only gave it a 9 because the description makes it seem like an afterthought, so maybe it can be improved with more attention!

  22. Phil

This is very nice, but also very dark. I didn’t even notice that man in the picture until reading one of the comments!

  23. Deanna

I am digging your doodles too! Love the icy fractures and colors in the ice.

  24. Chris

Another extremely good “doodle”. The only criticism I have is that something about the lighting (or maybe the fractures) kinda makes it look cartoonish. Otherwise very creative and interesting.

  25. Pritesh

    My god, very awe-inspiring.

  26. JMK in CT

Not sure about this one. Is it supposed to be a black ice glacier? i hope the little dude is dressed warmly.

  27. Zach

I’m really starting to dig the doodles that you’re putting together, and hope that they will show up as multiscreen renders. 🙂

    Different and I love it!!
