I wasn’t entirely certain that I was going to create a Halloween render this year but, as sometimes happens, an idea struck and I started playing around. One thing I knew for certain was that I wanted it to be something that could be used year-round so omitted many (but not all) of the traditional elements that tie it to the holiday.
Yes the title and theme are inspired by a Lovecraft story that I read long ago and whose title I cannot exactly recall 🙂
I wanted to have the multiscreen version ready at the same time but, sadly, it’s going to take a bit more work. I’m still getting used to creating these scenes on two different machines and while it does speed things up it can also lead to some roadblocks.
I hope you enjoy it and have a safe and happy Halloween!!
I know I see the Wicked Witch of The West.
Not so prevalent on a small laptop or tablet screen, but on a large monitor! Is this an Easter egg?
Wow, this is SO cool! This could just as easily be from the world of Charles de Lint as from H. P. Lovecraft.
[I think the title you might be searching for would be “The Hound”, w. 1924]
Great detail, and the lighting really sets the feeling of being a really creepy and spooky place, Love it.
Thanks for making this year’s Halloween better than just bearable …! This is great!! I gave it a nine, and you (maybe/probably) know how rare a nine is from me
Great job. Halloween is not such a big festival on this side of the pond, so I really appreciate the more global theme. The fine detail is just awesome. Thank you.
Candles, black cats, and a green glow in the woods are never a good sign!
Great Halloween render! Thanks.
This is one of the best creepy renders you’ve ever done. I love it.
I suppose that’s possible but this scene is pretty complicated to render single and multiscreens so I will probably stick to one.

Ryan, have you thought about offering different colors at the top maybe in the pickle jar?
Oh, Ryan, I love this one! Thank you and Happy Halloween to you and your family.
This is a great Halloween render it gives of the right slightly creepy vibe, enough so that I don’t think if it were real I’d walk through those woods and up those stairs lol. 🙂
