After the new site went live I fired up Vue d’Esprit 8 and started in on a Christmas wallpaper. It was nice to work on some eye candy after staring at code for a week.
My (first?) Christmas wallpaper for 2009 is an update to “The Ride”. I did the original way back in ’98 using spiky Bryce 3 terrains for the Trees. I did another version is 2003 using the now defunct (abandonware) “World Builder“.
This new version uses Vue d’Esprit 8. It’s actually my first render using the new version that came out last month. I haven’t dug too deep into the new features, but I do think the clouds look a lot better with Vue 8 than they did in Vue 7.
I may want to tweak a thing or two in this one so stop back. See the post from 12/6 if you are wondering where the Members Gallery went!
